Classroom At The Grange

Imagine studying and training in a peaceful rural setting at the heart of an award-winning farm in the lush Gowy Valley! Now you can make it reality by booking our classroom for your school, college or group, or as a base to use for a visit to the farm. Housed in the former dairy and milking parlour, and retaining some of the original milking machinery, the classroom contains fascinating displays about the farm and will comfortably accommodate 35 people. A small kitchen, toilets and a shower are included, and the building work has been largely funded by Natural England. The building is fully compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act.

We can provide you with a general farm tour, or we can design a visit to suit your own areas of interest or study. You can visit our farm FREE of charge and see rare breed Red Poll cattle, environmentally friendly crops and much more; your visit will be funded through Natural England’s Farm Educational Access Programme as part of the Higher Level Stewardship Scheme.

You can get involved in the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers’ kitchen garden at Trafford Mill, and we can also arrange tours of historic Trafford Water Mill. Please see a separate page about falconry displays on this site.

We can arrange coach transport for you if required and organise your catering, although there is a charge for these services.
