Box Beef Direct To You
Now you can enjoy rare breed Red Poll beef naturally reared in the lush meadows of our family farm on the banks of the River Gowy in the fertile Cheshire Plain. Not only will you enjoy a taste and texture second to none, but you will also be doing your bit for conservation and the environment and helping to preserve our history and heritage by supporting a traditional, native British cattle breed.
Our Red Poll cattle are grass fed, and the calves stay with their mothers, drinking their milk until they are 9 months old. This means that our beef is high in Omega-3 Fatty Acids which are beneficial to health. Our animals
- are slaughtered locally, reducing food miles and stress to the animal, producing a finer quality meat.
- are killed at over 3 years of age and hung for over a fortnight before butchering, giving excellent marbling and texture.
- are used for conservation grazing on the Gowy meadows, eating a varied diet of grasses and other plants.
- are lower in carbon emissions than conventional, commercially reared beef cattle. We have reduced our carbon footprint by one third between 2008 and 2009.
- are a key part of our Higher Level Stewardship Scheme on the farm, and agri-environment programme funded by Natural England.
- helped us to win the North West Future of Farming Award in 2007 and be shortlisted for the Waitrose / Farmers Guardian Farm Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2009.
What You Will Receive
Your fresh beef box will contain a minimum of a pack of 2 steaks and a prime joint of topside or silverside as well as a selection of cuts from pot roast and brisket to prime braising and stewing steak.

On confirmation of your order we will ask you to send a cheque made payable to R.E.K. Rowlands & Partners to us at this address. Your order will be despatched once your cheque has cleared, and on the first Thursday of each month, using TNT Couriers, and will be delivered to your home by 12:00 on the first Friday of the month. Your beef will come to you in an insulated pack and will be kept chilled using bags containing biodegradable gel placed inside your beef box. Once your beef box has been despatched, you can track it through TNT’s website www.tnt.co.uk We will send you a confirmation email to let you know it’s on its way, or ‘phone you if you prefer.

Prices
Because the packing and delivery costs are included in the price of your order, no V.A.T. has to be levied, reducing the cost of your Red Poll Beef Box. Your beef will be over, rather than under, the weight you stipulate at no extra cost to you if we can’t make it exact.
