
INDIAN SPICY RED POLL BEEF
A Deliciously Different Recipe Created by Pippa Lace.
Ingredients
1 kg diced RED POLL braising steak.
I kg onions, finely chopped.
50 g of butter or ghee.
4 chillies, finely chopped.
2 inch piece of root ginger, peeled and thinly shredded.
2 heaped teaspoons of tumeric.
2 level teaspoons of salt.
I heaped dessert spoon of garam masala.
2 heaped tablespoons of tomato puree.
2 heaped dessert spoons of crushed coriander seeds.
1 x 400g canned, chopped tomatoes.
20 – 30 stems of fresh coriander.
Method
All the ingredients go into one large pot. On a high flame, bring the mixture to boiling point, stirring frequently in order to seal the meat with spices. Turn the flame down to simmering point and cook for 4 hours, stirring every 10 – 15 minutes.
